The Legal Deposit service is part of the University Library's routine for receiving and cataloging undergraduate theses, dissertations, and theses produced at the university. Starting with a hybrid service that required digital, physical, and in-person submissions, research was conducted into technologies that could replace physical materials and allow for remote delivery to the library, while still considering legal issues and document preservation. It was possible to implement a new, fully digital Legal Deposit service in the university library, demonstrating that innovation is both possible and advantageous, even if it means adapting existing services to new technologies.
